Charge Nurse Manager - Ward 31, Division of Medicine
Full Time Fixed Term/Secondment Role (6 months)
As the 2024 winter period approaches, Health New Zealand Counties Manukau will be opening a 22-bed inpatient Medicine ward, located in Ward 31. This ward will support the anticipated increase in demand during the winter months. It is proposed that Haematology and General Medicine patients will be transferred here. After winter, the ward will remain open but on a slightly reduced bed capacity.
We are reaching out for expressions of interest for a six-month secondment into a Charge Nurse Manager (CNM) role to help set up and lead this ward.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and flexible individual who will help us respond in delivering exceptional and patient-centred care, whilst working collaboratively with the current CNM group across the division. This opportunity would suit those aspiring to become a CNM, or perhaps you are an existing CNM who would like to take up this occasion and you have a nurse in your area who could step up in your homeward role.
Haematological nursing experience including the administering of chemotherapy is strongly preferred due to the complex nature of haematology patients.
