Located in the idyllic Bay of Islands on a stunning winery, this 1 hatted restaurant takes its inspiration from the ocean and the land surrounding it. The broad menu uses locally sourced and grown ingredients, including from their very own gardens as well sustainably caught seafood and free-farmed meats.

• Sous Chef $35 p/h | Chef de Partie $30 p/h
• The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays each week
• Relocate to the Bay of Islands for this lifestyle job - accommodation available for $150 p/w

The Opportunity

We are looking for both a Sous Chef and a Chef de Partie to join the team for an immediate start. Both roles will have the opportunity to work along side a passionate and experienced Head Chef, with the Sous Chef having full control of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. The menu changes frequently with the seasons so you will have a chance to be a part of that process and work with the finest ingredients that New Zealand has to offer. Both roles will work from Wednesday to Sunday and on your days off you'll be able to experience the breathtakingly beautiful Bay of Islands firsthand with excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking and water sports on your doorstep.

We are looking for chefs with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • 3+ years in a similar style of role
  • NZ Resident/Citizen or holder of a CURRENT work visa
  • A strong work ethic with a genuine passion for food and sustainability
  • The ability to relocate to Northland if required
  • Pastry knowledge would be preferred
