Join us as General Manager and you'll have full responsibility managing all aspects related to operations of the local manufacturing unit of Global Product Group Power Protection including Profit & Loss and the full scope of Production, Engineering, Planning & Fulfillment, Quality & Operational Excellence, Procurement & Logistics, Service and HR. Reporting to the Global Product Group Manager this position is based in Napier, New Zealand.

Your responsibilities

• Executing a customer-focused operations strategy derived from the overall business and functional strategy developed for the business unit
• Delivering 4C targets for Operations- Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity
• Being responsible for on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project EBIT and cash
• Handling the development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures, and of the overall customer satisfaction for area under scope
• Driving service achievements through effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines
• Building an effective, capable, and high-performing organization

Your background

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or Business studies
• Required minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in operations / manufacturing
• Experience of handling factory operations, productions, production planning, SAP exposure, managing work force and vendor management
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, negotiation skills and exceptional written and spoken communication skills in English
• Knowledge on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units
