Join our dynamic team as a Manager of Security Governance and Assurance, where you'll lead the implementation of Te Pūtea Matua's Digital & Security Strategy to ensure it aligns with and supports business objectives, is consistent with applicable legislation and regulations.

Te tūranga - The role
As the Manager Governance & Assurance (Physical & Personnel Security) you will manage a small team of protective security practitioners responsible for providing hands-on protective security expertise to enable RBNZ to achieve its strategic priorities, meet government mandated security requirements, and achieve a high level of capability maturity. Please note that this is not an IT security role.

Ō pūkenga - About you
To be successful in one of these roles you'll have:

• A minimum 5 years' experience in a NZ government security role as a practitioner.
• Proven recent leadership experience - building, fostering, and enabling a motivated, high performing, collaborative, inclusive and diverse team culture.
• A deep understanding of the NZ Government's Protective Security Requirements framework.
• Proficient in performing risk, business impact and control assessments.
• Strong attention to detail and proven analytical skills to analyse security risks and relate them to appropriate security controls.
• A credible and dependable subject matter expert accustomed to dealing with the NZ intelligence and security community.
• A strategic mindset and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of issues.
• A proven ability to develop and implement plans to promote strategic priorities and objectives.
