·         Remunerations dependant on qualification & experience: $63,842 - $84,193



Middlemore is a 1000 bed hospital with a large Emergency Department, Dialysis Unit, Special Care baby Unit, ICU, general surgery and medical wards. The Laboratory is situated on-site at the Middlemore campus and provides a 24 hour 7 day a week service for 1000 beds at Middlemore and Kidz First Hospitals, and Manukau Health Park.

This is a full-time role, permanent role. After initial training, you will be rostered to work across all shifts including weekends. 

You will be joining our IANZ accredited, fully computerised, well equipped Laboratory Registration Department where the workload is approximately 2500 specimens per day. The department receives specimens from internal and external customers.

Your function will consist of all routine aspects of specimen workflow and preparation for processing. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to follow specific instructions are key to this role. Experience with laboratory health and safety management is desirable.



Essential:

Registered Technician with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSC) with a relevant scope of practice or has a relevant qualification that is able to be registered with the MSC
Knowledge of and ability to apply the Privacy Act
Good computer skills

Desired:


Recent experience in a New Zealand Medical laboratory
Experience with Delphic computer system
