The Opportunity:

Are you interested in working in a community mental health and addictions team, specifically developed to meet the needs of the Franklin area? Our team based at Pukekohe Hospital has a great opportunity available to an experienced Occupational Therapist.

We are seeking a Mental Health & Addictions Occupational Therapist with sound knowledge and skills in working with adults who reside in the southern part of South Auckland. This role includes both traditional CMHC work, as well as community outreach into primary care and the community!

The Franklin locality service provides a range of high quality, integrated and comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment interventions and support for adults experiencing mental health and co-existing drug and alcohol issues who reside in the Pukekohe, Waiuku, Tuakau and Pokeno areas.

We operate as a dynamic, supportive and innovative multidisciplinary team of professionals. We service a unique and growing multi-cultural population of Counties Manukau, which will enable you to be continually stimulated and challenged as you work with a diverse group of service users presenting with a range of mental health needs.

If you enjoy being part of a positive working environment and trialling new ways of working, this could be the role for you! We work closely with our service users, non-government organisations and their Primary care providers. We can offer you a chance to work both independently and as part of a strong quality-focussed team. You will also be provided with ongoing support with clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.
