Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Operations Manager falls within the Directorate of Engineering and Technical Airworthiness (DETA), and is responsible for facilitating the planning, coordination, and management of corporate programs across the DETA organisation. Additionally, the role is also responsible for the management and delivery of executive-support coordination for the DETA headquarters with all RNZAF Technical units to ensure alignment across the organisation.
A major component of this role will be managing the International Commitments Programme (ICP), which will have you coordinating bid submissions, making arrangements for students to undertake training courses/job placements, and providing specialist advice as a SME.

This role is based in Wellington CBD. Once you are established in the role there are flexible working arrangements available, including work from home options (up to two days a week).

As the ideal candidate, you will be a consummate professional capable of working autonomously, driving your own work, and engaging with numerous stakeholders. Planning and execution is key in this role!

Due to the nature of this role, occasional (quarterly) domestic travel will be required.
For this reason, a full class 1 Driver's Licence is desirable.
