THE PROJECT
Working on a 3+ year long project in Auckland’s CBD, this is an $80m project being carried out by a well-established main contractor. Construction is scheduled to commence soon with completion in 2027, an experienced Project Manager with strong leadership, stakeholder liaison and programming experience is required to lead the project from the front.
THE ROLE
Working in a CBD environment with numerous stakeholders, the incumbent will be responsible for complex site establishment, temporary works elements and structural alterations and upgrades in a live environment, all the while considering business as usual in a live environment. The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of construction and project delivery including project team leadership, health & safety, programme, quality and commercial management.
MAIN DUTIES
· Client relationship management
· Site preparation, package delivery, work planning and financial management tasks
· Active participant and contributor during ECI
· Demonstrating initiative and providing practical advice to identify solutions to job specific challenges
· Lead and work alongside the construction delivery teams to execute major packages from site assessment and design through to handover
· Contract Management
ABOUT YOU
You will need to demonstrate:
· Project management experience on large/complex commercial projects
· Strong construction knowledge
· Tertiary qualification in construction or engineering discipline
· Sound decision making and management skills
· Strong leadership flair
· Solid programming experience
· Financial management experience
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Collaborator and positive thinker
· Seismic / structural experience is desirable but not essential
· Active participant in growing the project and company culture
· NZ citizen, permanent resident or hold a NZ work visa
