Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a member of the Occupational Health nursing team, this role has shared accountability for delivery of the occupational health and safety components of our Tāngata (people) strategy.

Ko wai koe | About You

The Registered Nurse, a part of the Influenza Vaccine Programme, is responsible for participating in the implementation and delivery of the activities of the Occupational Health Team aligned with the team - s strategy and plans and provision of the occupational health advice and service across Te Whatu Ora Waitaha (Canterbury) and Te Tai o Poutini (West Coast).

Specifically, the role is responsible for participating in:

  • Influenza vaccine programme delivery
  • Supporting the Occupational Health team in liaison with Waitaha Canterbury to rollout the influenza vaccine programme to staff
  • The implementation and delivery of activity and service aligned with the Occupational Health policies, processes and procedures, as well Tāngata (People) Strategy and plans
  • Participating in the implementation and delivery of the kaimahi (staff - s) health  programmes of work, such as immunisation, health monitoring , contact tracing and pre-employment screening where required
