About the roleOur client is a leader in safe work practices and the benchmark for industrial sites. They are currently seeking Plant and Machine Operators to work on-site at a large industrial plant near Invercargill.
These positions have immediate start dates and long-term ongoing potential. This company is classed as an essential service and therefore operates throughout any potential lockdowns.
The shifts consist of rotating 12-hour day and night shifts - 2 days, 2 nights, then 4 days off. The plant itself is a large, busy environment with plenty of variety in the day to day work, which will challenge and drive the right candidate.
To be considered you will have:
- An excellent health & safety record, awareness, and attitude
- A great team mentality and be a positive contributor
- A Full NZ drivers licence
- A clear criminal history
- Manual labour experience, preferably in industrial or process plants
- Some experience operating machinery and vehicles
- A high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a hot and dusty environment
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and full medical examination, including practical assessment
- Great references and a consistent work history
