Role.
 
This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting iwi and Maori entities to achieve high COVID vaccination rates and support equitable health outcomes for Maori in the pandemic.
 
Working as part of a specialist data sharing team, your role will support critical outreach to Maori as part of the Covid-19 response.  You’ll be:
 

  • managing key relationships
  • working with internal and external stakeholders to meet data requests
  • providing evidence-based advice and data to support local vaccination campaigns
  • contributing to the implementation of monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks
  • writing reports, briefing papers and other documents.

 
Candidate.
 
You will need:

  • experience engaging with iwi stakeholders
  • a strong understanding of Maori tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • the ability to analyse and interpret data
  • excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • experience working in the public sector.

 
This is a contract role starting by the end of January until 30 June.  Ideally, you’ll be able to work full-time hours, but there is some flexibility to negotiate part-time hours.  While some WFH is possible, the role is mainly based in Wellington.
