Role description:

The Senior Property Manager is responsible for the overall financial and operational management of residential properties. Your aim is to minimise costs while keeping tenants satisfied. You are tasked with addressing client’s concerns, renting the property out, collecting rent, dealing with maintenance, and managing the relationships. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Make sure managed properties are in a reasonable condition and meet all relevant building, health, and safety standards 
• Prepare advertisements for available rental properties 
• Approve tenancy application & prepare tenancy documentation 
• Maintain regular, close contact with current clients and tenants 
• Be responsible for rent collections and deal with rent arrears together with the business support team 
• Prepare, lodge and present applications to the Tenancy Tribunal (as necessary) 

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

• At least 2 years of experience in a portfolio/property manager role
• High organisation and time management skills 
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills 
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 
• Ability to problem solve and take initiative
