Customer Service Representative - provide tech support & solutions to customers in the boating industry. Permanent FT role. Salary + benefits.

This global organisation is a leader in their industry, providing products and services to the boating & marine world. They have offices in over 40 locations worldwide, and distribution sites in over 100.  They manufacture, distribute & sell a number of brands well-regarded by those who know the industry well.

Role:
The NZ Head Office, based on Auckland's North Shore, is looking to expand their team of dedicated in-house technical customer service experts.
This role will be perfect for you if you are genuinely passionate about providing top notch technical support and solutions to your customers.
Primarily you will be providing support over the phone and through emails, however occasionally you will be required to assist your customer at their site or on their boat.

Hours, Location and Duration:

  • 40 hours per week.
  • Mondays to Fridays (no weekends).
  • If you're not a morning person, or like to hit the gym/walk the dog/drop the kids to school in the morning- perfect!
  • Miss the peak traffic by starting at 10.30am ideally.
  • This is a permanent full time position.
  • Based North Shore
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers on all products 
  • Provide support primarily over phone & email, also on customer sites
  • Partner with dealers, distributors & end-users to resolve issues
  • Diagnose installation and operation issues
  • Assist with warranties
  • Build rapport & trust with customers by going the extra mile with every single one of them
About you:
  • First & foremost you'll be passionate about providing top-notch customer service over phone and email
  • So your written and verbal communication styles will be clear & professional
  • If you're a boating enthusiast, love being on the water, or you're a bit of a boating gadget nerd - that would be a bonus! however not an absolute requirement.
  • You will need to be confident & comfortable in a role where you are providing technical support with regards to electronic products.
