The Central Reintegration and Housing Support Team are seeking a proactive and highly proficient Administration Officer to provide high quality administration support to internal and external customers across the Central Region.

The team is based in Hamilton; however, this role can be performed remotely and we are open to accepting applications from candidates across Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.


Ngā kawenga | About the role

This is an exciting new role which is based in our Reintegration and Housing Support Team. It will offer you a regional perspective of our mahi and the opportunity to work with (a small) but dedicated team, in a challenging yet rewarding space.

The role will be assisting the mahi of the Regional Manager Accommodation for the Central Region. The position requires the production of essential documentation to assist with risk assessments, work in specialist databases producing essential reports and statistics to inform the region on accommodation availability.

An element of flexibility, ability to learn new tasks and sound IT skills are essential. You will be working as part of the wider regional team, alongside the Senior Advisors Community Engagement and Reintegration. An ability to quickly develop relationships will key as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders, across the region, both internal and external, including Probation Officers, Case Manager's, NGO's, MSD and Kainga Ora.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Competency in the MS suite of applications especially Word and Excel
  • Administrative and accounts experience
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to engage with internal and external providers in a professional manner
  • A high level of written and communication skills
  • Excellent time management

You will need a Full New Zealand Driver licence for this role.

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Resident Permit holder, Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The midpoint of the salary range is $49,348 and the full range (85%-120%) is $46,429 - $55,203. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
