About the role:

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join the Northern Pod. The position involves working on mobile dental units in Huntly/North Waikato surrounding areas and occasionally in fixed facilities. You will provide assistance with dental care to pre-school and school age children. Trainings and service needs are sometimes required within Hamilton.

Dental assistants support and assist dental therapists in all aspects of care and clinic administration. This casual position is Monday-Friday and works within the school terms, though some school holiday work is available at times.

 

Required skills & experience:

The position would ideally suit someone who has had dental assistant experience or has a work history in office administration, working with children, customer service or health care.

• A full current driver’s licence.

• The ability to prioritise effectively

• Good communication and leadership competency

• Computer skills

• Conscientious and reliable
