About the opportunity:

Our client is well-positioned in the mid to high end of the kitchen design space with a unique offering to the market. They are looking for a Sales Manager with kitchen design and/or interior design experience who is interested in taking their career to the next level in this exciting field.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Looking after a team of designers as well as continuing to offer your own concepts
  • Be a source of knowledge, experience and design skills to assist your design team as well as ensuring customers can make an informed decision when purchasing
  • Accurately processing sales/orders making sure all details are exactly right and every detail is covered
  • Using your industry experience to identify and pursue new target markets
  • Working alongside our project manager to improve production processes and capacity
  • Managing client management and sales pipeline using the companies CRM processes
  • Working with the managing director to continue company growth and strengthen market position

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

  • Solid background in kitchen design and or/interior design
  • Previous experience in a managerial or senior designer role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and manage a team
  • Passionate about relationship-based sales / design (i.e. not high-pressure sales)
  • Comfortable doing client-tailored design in-home consultations
  • Experience designing kitchens using Sketchup, 20/20 or similar CAD
