This is a great opportunity for a driven Senior Ecologist to join a high-performing team in Wellington. Our client is a well-established global consultancy with an unparalleled reputation across their many disciplines. This is an organisation that is passionate about bettering communities (and the world!) by delivering projects that are not only functional and elegant, but also make a positive impact to their surroundings.
The role
As Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for providing information and expertise on the water science aspects of major projects within the Wellington Region and across the country. This includes leading/conducting assessments, surveys and field studies; analysing data; preparing and peer reviewing technical reports and feeding this information into the Planning and Engineering teams to help with their decision making. This position works closely with clients from various sectors/services to identify, pursue, and lead future projects that will make a positive impact on the local communities they enter as well as the broader world.
The candidate
We are keen to engage with Senior Ecologists, who are post-grad qualified in Ecology, Environmental Science, or similar discipline; with at least 8 years’ professional experience. This role is well suited for technical professionals who are hungry to take the next step in their career- from a pure delivery role into a broader leadership and client facing opportunity. Confident and capable communication skills for presenting findings to a wide audience and experience in Iwi relationships are advantageous. Most importantly, we are looking for an individual with the ability to inspire confidence, provide advice and guide staff, culminating in delivering results.
The offer
On offer is a very competitive remuneration package, a healthy work/life balance, and plenty of professional/personal development opportunities. You will be working in an open, collaborative environment with likeminded professionals offering support and collaborating to push projects to success. As a global consultancy there really is no limit on how far you can grow within the organisation!
With a growing portfolio of projects in the Wellington region and across the country, this is a fantastic time to become part of an amazing organisation.
