About the opportunity:

Our client is a leader in forklift training within the Auckland region. They continue to succeed and expand due to their high standard of customer service and attention to detail. This has created the opportunity to employ a new Forklift Instructor! 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching, the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed
  • Provide instructional training in policy, procedures, and all regulatory compliance as it relates to forklifts and operators, including compliance with any local regulations and laws
  • Assume duties of a Sales Representative, as well as Cold Calls on potential customers if no scheduled training 
  • Attend evening staff meeting followed by dinner once every 4-6 weeks

This role will suit someone with the following background/experience/qualities:

  • Full New Zealand Class 1 or 2 Drivers Licence with a clean record 
  • Strong knowledge of forklift driving 
  • Strong work ethic
  • Confident speaking to small crowds
  • Reliable and available for courses
  • "People person" with an easy-going personality
