Where you’ll be working: Referral Coordinaton Centre, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton
The details: Fixed term covering 12 months maternity leave, 40 hours per fortnight (.5 FTE)
About the role:
This position is key in the beginning of a patients' journey by analysing information received and creating a referral in our Patient Management system (iPM). Being a team player and having excellent accuracy and attention to detail attributes are key to being successful in the role.
• Office administration background, preferably clinically/medically focused;
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Demonstrable data entry and computer knowledge;

• Ability to efficiently manage time & workloads;

The Waikato District Health Board (DHB) is one of the largest of 20 DHBs in New Zealand. We plan, fund and provide health and disability support services to a population of more than 400,000. Waikato Hospital in Hamilton is one of New Zealand’s largest tertiary, teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
