Te Kāika Wellbeing Hub is a village of integrated services established as a Treaty-based partnership between Te Kāika - Ōtākou Health, Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora - Ministry of Social Development and Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora. Its vision is to provide He Korowai Manaaki (a cloak of care and support) for whānau in a safe community space.

As the Administrator, you will be supporting the Relationship Manager with all aspects of administration including coordinated administration, invoicing, and supporting the booking process for the Te Kāika Wellbeing Hub, and we're looking for someone who is 'on the ball' when it comes to ensuring that the necessary paperwork is spot on! The role also involves a significant amount of communication with other pivotal key members, including patients.

Mōu ake - About you

As this is a dynamic and busy environment, we're looking fora team player with very good communication skills, who understands and appreciates the need for attention to detail and confidentiality.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • previous administrative experience
  • experience being sensitive to cultural needs and diverse cultures' ways of seeing and doing
  • able to work autonomously but can seek advice when necessary
  • excellent time management, prioritisation, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • the ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • excellent computer skills: proven experience in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook (email) with the ability to learn other job specific programmes
  • confidence with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • knowledge of the health sector, this would be would be an advantage.

You must also be comfortable interacting with a variety of people and attending to issues that arise - usually at the same time!

Utu whānui - Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi Public Service Association (PSA) National Health Administration Workers Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 4A between Step 1 ($70,970) and Step 3 ($73,941)p.a. pro-rata.
