Anaesthetic Technician/ODP

Permanent - Part time or Full Time 

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as an Anaesthetic Technician/ODP and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team at Operating Theatre Suite in Rotorua/Taupo Hospitals. 

Mō te tūranga / About the role

  • Primary responsibility is to check and maintain all anaesthetic equipment; prepare, set up and assist/support the Anaesthetist to ensure safe patient care throughout their operation.
  • Full or part time permanent role available or fixed term
  • Hours of work: shift work Monday to Sunday, with on-call work 

Mō koe / About you

You should have 

  • Conscientious and be highly motivated 
  • Be a team player and come with a positive attitude and ability to speak up for patient safety.
  • Live the Lakes values of Manaakitangi, Integrity and Accountability
  • Current NZ practicing certificate with Medical Council of New Zealand for Anaesthetic technician or qualified ODP applying for NZ registration
  • NZ full driver’s license or working towards this

You would be

  • NZ Qualified Anaesthetic Technician with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Or qualified ODP applying for NZ registration
  • Previous experience in Anaesthetic Technician role

Awhe utu / Salary range
$70,842.00 - $100,446.00 (step 1 -7 Apex collective) pro-rated to hours worked.
