About the opportunity:

Our industry-leading client is looking for their next Arborist to join their Vegetation team in Timaru! They operate and maintain electricity networks covering a wide area between the Rangitata and Waitaki Rivers, from the coast inland to Mount Cook. They offer incredible benefits and are a great team dedicated to providing a superior service that clients consistently rely on.

Responsibilities will include:

They are looking for an experienced Arborist to:

  • Provide vegetation control services from conflict with overhead power lines and structures
  • Provide response during major storms or significant weather events
  • Complete a variety of private work
  • Surveying of Network feeders
  • Work as a team ensuring the safety of yourself, work colleagues and the general public

This role will suit someone with all or some following background/experience/qualities: 

  • A level 4 Arborist qualification with a focus on safety and quality
  • 5+ years of Arborist experience 
  • Basic Utility experience is preferred but not essential
  • Positive role model of health and safety practices
  • Current NZ Driver's License
