Are you mechanically minded alongside enjoying assembly? We are on the lookout for a standout Assembly Technician to work with mechanical goods attached to a global business. Our reputable client is a New Zealand based manufacturer with international distribution of high-quality engineering designed mechanical equipment. This role will suit someone with a background in assembly who has a nous for understanding mechanical equipment.
About the role:
As part of the New Zealand Assembly team you will be constructing commercial mowers in accordance with our clients Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure safe, efficient and quality standards are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mechanical assembly of commercial mowing equipment, including mechanical fitment of sub-assemblies, painted weldments, gearboxes, drive-systems, electrical and hydraulic components,decals etc.

Participate in daily production toolbox meeting, communicating issues that have or could impact you and the production team.

Participate in a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and reporting opportunities for improved safety, quality and efficiency.

Skills Required:
-Previous assembly or maintenance of similar commercial equipment.
-Excellent communication skills to engage and interact with other team members, team leaders and managers.
-Experience within a production/manufacturing environment.
-Experience and understanding of Lean manufacturing.
-Have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
