(Scope of Practice - Registered Nurse) 

The Opportunity

Ward 28/CCU has a position for an experienced registered nurse, with recent medical nursing expertise, who is motivated and prepared to accept challenges in an ever changing work environment. You will be required to be an excellent role model for clinical practice and leadership.

 

The Associate Charge Nurse will be a vital member in the medical services team who supports and develops staff, and is responsible for ensuring quality care is delivered to patients.

The ACN will:

  • Co-ordinate the delivery of patient care over a 24-hour period
  • Enhance continuity of patient care
  • Facilitate clinical excellence in nursing practice
  • Facilitate education of nursing staff. 

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse, minimum Level 3 Professional Development Recognition Portfolio 
  • Evidence of recent experience in co-ordinating shifts within inpatient wards
  • Demonstrate an active commitment to colleagues and own professional growth
  • Recognition by your peers that you have developed medical clinical experience and leadership skills.

Hours of work will be 32 working rostered, rotating shifts.


There is the expectation that the Associate Charge Nurse would cover the Charge Nurse when required.
