Now recruiting in Tauranga due to continued success in securing large scale new build and building upgrade projects, this highly successful Main Contractor is in need of a Site Manager (M&E Services) to oversee the successful delivery of building services projects.
As a Site Manager (M&E Services) working within a Main Contractor you will work closely with specialist M&E services subcontractors as part of the project delivery team to ensure the safe and efficient installation of services. This role is suitable for someone from either a Main Contractor or M&E subcontractor who is seeking to utilise their specialist services knowledge on large scale building projects.
In this role you will predominantly be based at site, although will be required to attend meetings at Consultants and Subcontractors offices and work from head office prior to new projects in planning and co-ordinating projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining collaborative relationships with Subcontractors and Consultants
- Ensuring that Subcontractor's buy in to zero harm Health & Safety culture and follow H&S procedures
- Co-ordinate M&E installation with Project Manager and Site Manager in line with construction programme
- Anticipate and mitigate any issues that may impact on services installation
- Assist Services Contractor whenever possible to facilitate their work
- Alert Project Manager and Site Manager to any risks or concerns that may impact schedule
In this role you will interact with client, subcontractor and consulting engineers on a daily basis, to succeed it is essential that you have highly effective communication skills, the ability to drive high quality performance and a high level of professionalism and organisation in your work.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant qualification in mechanical / Building Services discipline
- Main Contractor or M&E subcontractor history
- Collaborative / Best for Project outlook
- Right to work in New Zealand
