Te Kāpehu – Business Analyst, Pae Ora Paiaka Whaiora Hauora - Māori Health Directorate

Permanent (1.0 FTE, Permanent)

 

MidCentral actively seeks to hire competent and experienced Māori kaimahi as active commitment to our Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership, and as a reflection of the communities we serve.

 

The focus of this position is to provide reporting, financial and accounting services, and insightful analysis to inform Pae Ora Paiaka Whaiora Hauora – Māori Health Directorate with key data and interpretation to ensure that the MidCentral system strives to meet strategic and equity-based objectives.

 

This is an empowering and exciting kaupapa, where you will be able to provide meaningful support and contribute to systemic change within MidCentral to support our whānau (both working within the system and utilising our services) to achieve equitable outcomes.

Based in Palmerston North hospital, your strong financial acumen coupled with an ability to research and provide analytical insights are what's needed.

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • Ability to access, manage and report financial data using appropriate financial report writing tools.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills and ability to create databases and work with word processing software.
  • Demonstrates specialist knowledge and application of analytics and insights principles and practice.
  • Ability to envisage information requirements of decision makers and design systems to provide such information.
  • Ability to analyse and investigate complex data and information issues or problems and implement appropriate solutions or recommend options.
  • Ability to adapt practice or work processes in response to new ideas, information or technology and organisational change.
  • Ability to follow through a task or assignment to completion with attention to detail and accuracy in work.

 

 Given the nature of this role and the outcomes we are aiming to achieve; having knowledge of te ao Māori and te reo (oral and written) is advantageous.
