The National Museum of the Royal New Zealand Navy exists to inspire pride in being a New Zealander and for visitors to our country to understand why that is so. The Business Services Manager focuses on events management and commercial activities at the Navy Museum. You will work alongside and job share the role with an experienced and highly regarded team member who will train, support and guide you.
You'll be the point of contact for Navy events, ceremonies, VIP visits and conference bookings, as well as community and commercial bookings.
The role is responsible for the management of the Navy Museum Store, which sells a wide variety of memorabilia on site and on-line. You'll also be responsible for managing the commercial relationship with the Torpedo Bay Café, which is operated by an independent contractor.
This is a job share role working 2 days per week, with some flexibility for the right candidate.

To be successful in this role, you'll be highly confident in your communication and relationship management skills. You'll be keen to learn and have great time management skills, as this can be a very busy role.
Ideally you will have a qualification in events or retail management, or finance/business studies.
