We know many areas of the health system are not working well for Pacific people, aiga, ngutuare tangata, famili, kāinga, magafoa, kaiga, vuvale and kaaiga (families) and communities. In fact, Pacific health inequities are observed throughout the lifecourse, from pregnancy and early childhood through to older age.

We have an opportunity available to join our Commissioning team in a Business Support role. The purpose of the Business Support role is to provide day to day administration support to ensure the team's work is delivered on time and to a high-quality standard.

This role would see you coordinate team meetings and gather supporting documentation. Make travel and accommodation bookings and manage confidentiality whilst booking meetings and managing calendar appointments.

Mōu | About you

You will be someone able to support the team by managing and priortising tasks such as proof reading, formatting, collation and distribution of documents. You'll be able to assist with project coordination and manage financial administration and processing of invoices and reconciling payments for staff work related expenses as delegated.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Proven experience as an office manager / business support / administrator
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior Ministry officials and with health sector leaders
  • Experience/skilled in with calendar management and meeting coordination and arrangements
  • Experience/skilled in with making travel arrangements and booking accommodation

  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
