Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Are you an internal support champion looking for a new chance to showcase your skills? We have the role for you!'This is an awesome opportunity to bring you're A-game to support Waka Kotahi employees.
You will be the go-to guru, providing vital support services, some of which include:
  • Building and facilities maintenance coordination
  • Front line customer service, travel arrangements
  • Technology support
  • Administrative support
  • Fleet coordination and a variety of other tasks and functions.
Business Support Officers make connections right across the business, with plenty of opportunity for growth and professional development.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A fantastic attitude towards your workplace and enjoy contributing towards a positive and engaged work culture
  • Experience in an office support or comparable role is preferred - ideally with a focus on facilities/technology/logistics
  • A strong customer focus
  • A collaborative working style and work well as part of a team
  • The desire and ability to build strong relationships across the business
  • Sound knowledge of technology - laptops, mobile phones, Microsoft office 365 suite - preferably experienced with MS Teams/Zoom
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
