Civil Project Manager – Tauranga

Infrastructure work in Tauranga and the surrounding region is growing and with a significant workload ahead my client is looking build their further team for the future. Immediate focus is the need for a Civil Project Manager to work on a variety of civil and infrastructure work throughout the region.

As Project Manager you will be comfortable running a range of civil projects including water road, structures, earthworks etc. You will be the main point of contact for the projects with all stakeholders including councils, government bodies, consultant engineers and subcontractors and have an excellent track record of successfully building and managing those relationships.

You will be working closely with the broader management team and will be instrumental in tendering and winning new work as well as ensuring projects are delivered to budget and in line with contractual requirements. You will also have significant input in programming, traffic management planning, financial & commercial matters, health & safety, QA and environmental planning.

A great site team is already in place and it will be your responsibility as PM to work closely with your team to gain the best results, and where necessary, to develop them using your experience and know how.

Desirable attributes and requirements include;

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience with a contractor.
• A successful track record of delivering a range of civil and infrastructure projects.
• A degree or industry related qualification
• Excellent communication and man management skills
• IT literacy including Office and MS Project
• Excellent client relationships and management skills
• A positive and driven approach to your work
