My client is a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy with a successful track record gained over the last 25 years + of operation. With multiple offices in both the North and South Island they have a reputation for producing high quality documentation and delivering challenging projects on-time and budget that meet the needs of their client and end-users. With a healthy forward workload across commercial, industrial and residential sectors and a small growing Civil Engineering division, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Civil Team Leader in Auckland to drive the next stage of strategic growth and expansion. On offer is a competitive salary and package of $140K - 160K + benefits.

The Role:

As the Civil Team Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of a varied range of projects and to provide operational and technical leadership to a small growing team of Civil Engineers. The position is well suited to a CPEng Civil Engineer with a design background looking to move into a delivery lead role or to develop your team management experience. Clients include private companies and government entities focussed in Retirement Living, Civic Buildings and Recreational Facilities, Property Development, Manufacturing facilities and some of New Zealand’s largest Residential Home Builders. You will fully utilise your developed Civil Engineering experience to grow the civil division with a focus on land development and related infrastructure to complement services provided by the existing business. You will lead design packages and provide mentoring, direction and support to the wider civil team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
· Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineering New Zealand
· 10 years + local experience with Civil Land Development and related infrastructure projects
· Detail oriented with a systematic approach to work and quality control
· Developed understanding of the NZBC, local standards and construction contracts act
· Working knowledge of Civil 3 D and related design software
· Passionate about service delivery and providing value to long-term clients
· A collaborative leadership approach and commitment to supporting developing engineers
