Class 2 Driver

We are currently looking for Class 2 Drivers in the Lower Hutt/Wellington region wanting ongoing, full-time work in a busy industry.

Our client is looking for an experienced Class 2 metro delivery driver who is looking for an opportunity to work ongoing hours, Monday through Saturday on a set roster. Based out of Lower Hutt or Kapiti, your duties will consist of driving a class 2 truck around the Wellington region dropping off freight to their clients. You are not responsible for loading but will be checking over everything before you leave the depot.

What we need from you:

• Commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace
• Class 2 licence and experience driving
• Forklift license would be a bonus but not necessary
• Knowledge of how to secure loads using load binders, chains, and strops
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazardous conditions
• Experience accurately completing logbooks and measuring / weighing loads
• Must have excellent customer service skills/experience
