Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team in Tauranga. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe driving practices and excellent customer service skills. Road ranger experience is highly desired for this role.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Safely operate a Class 5 truck to transport goods and materials to various destinations.
2. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road worthiness.
4. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transportation.
5. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including delivery receipts and mileage logs.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
7. Follow designated routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
8. Handle any delivery-related issues or customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
**Requirements:**
1. Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a Class 5 truck driver, with driving experience.
3. Road ranger experience highly desired.
4. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
8. Familiarity with the Tauranga area and surrounding regions is a plus.
