Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Our Senior Clinical Leadership team have a part time (0.4FTE) secondment opportunity available until October 2024.  Join the team as a Clinical Principal Advisor IPC. You will provide high quality verbal and written strategic and operational advice, analysis and recom.mendations to support, maintain and improve the delivery of a high-quality infection prevention and control advisory service on behalf of  the National Chief Nurse (NCN), National Clinical Leadership Team and the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO).

Mōu | About you

Our ideal candidate has several years of experience in aninfection prevention and control role within the NZ health sector either at a senior clinical and/or senior advisor level. You will be able to hit the ground running while supporting our Senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated infection prevention and control experience in the health sector either at a senior clinical and/or senior advisor level
  • Displays initiative, flexibility and positively contributes to the whole team
  • Relevant tertiary qualification at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Able to use your well-developed written and oral communication skills to persuade and influence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all levels and across organisations

  • A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role
