Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

Where you’ll be working: Manaaki Centre - Thames/Coromandel

The details: Permanent Full time – 40 hours per week

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We are looking for a clinical psychologist to join our friendly and skilled team. We are based in Thames and provide outreach services throughout the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. If you are not that fond of outstanding natural beauty, world-class beaches, clean rivers, native bush, minimal traffic, friendly communities and a relaxed pace of life, then perhaps look elsewhere for your next position.

You would have excellent support and collegiality with our established group of clinical psychologists, engaged clinical leadership and stable line management. We are looking for psychologists who enjoy applying their skills with a wide range of significant and severe psychological disorders, who enjoy the support of a full MDT but also appreciate a good degree of independence. We have good links with the local university training programme and promote opportunities to engage with training and supervision.

For this role we are looking for someone who is willing and able to provide some clinic days to the Whitianga community – a scenic 75-90 min drive from the Thames base. If you do enjoy an occasional escape to the city, Thames is 90 minutes from three major cities along with their airports.
