Our client is looking to hire a qualified COF (Certificate of Fitness) Inspector for commercial vehicles is to ensure the safety and compliance of these vehicles on the road. With this role you will need to have solid experience in the transport industry. Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial vehicles to assess their compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure that vehicles meet all relevant safety and compliance standards, including brake and emission regulations, lighting, tires, and other critical components.

Testing: Perform brake and emission tests, and use specialized equipment to assess the vehicle's roadworthiness.

COF Certification: Issue Certificate of Fitness (COF) certificates to vehicles that pass inspections and meet the required standards.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of all inspections, test results, and issued COF certificates.

Documentation: Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork, reports, and certificates to document inspection outcomes.

Communication: Provide feedback to vehicle owners and operators regarding necessary repairs and improvements to meet regulatory standards.

Compliance Updates: Stay informed about changes in regulations and safety standards related to commercial vehicles.
Successful candidates will need to have the relevant and current COF-B (PSV) Certificate, as well as be able to provide two working references, and pass a pre-employment drug test.
