The company
This manufacturing business is a well known, listed stable business that operates under several different brands in New Zealand. We are seeking a contract Commercial Accountant to support a vital cost centre in the group for approximately four months while a permanent person is recruited.
You will be responsible for
- Preparation of weekly reports, including the development and maintenance of dashboard reports.
- Cost Accounting support for your business units.
- Preparation of monthly financial and performance reports
- Assisting with the preparation of Forecasts and annual Budgets including providing analytical support to decision making.
- Reviewing performance against budget/forecast providing timely identification of any issues and assisting managers ensure spend remains within budget/forecast
About you
- Tertiary Accounting qualification
- Experience in a project or manufacturing business with well developed financial and commercial awareness
- Demonstrated experience in extracting reliable information from different data sources in order to support successful decision making
- Experienced user of ERP or project reporting systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of processes that support robust management reporting
