Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a permanent full-time, experienced Registered Nurse to work within our South Community Mental Health Team based at Hawera Hospital with satellite clinics in areas such as Stratford, Patea and Opunake. You will be providing specialist mental health nursing care for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions as part of a multidisciplinary team undertaking assessment, case management, coordination and activating appropriate support services to enhance skills and recovery for people.  This positions will provide you with the opportunity to:

Undertake a key worker role for identified clients within the Multidisciplinary Team

·
Assess, monitor and deliver specialist interventions regarding mental state, risk management and therapeutic interventions

·
Work with Service users / Tangata Whaiora, family / whanau and other involved parties with the organisation and community to maintain effective therapeutic and working relationships

Moū - About you

We are looking for:

·
Recent Mental Health experience preferably in a community setting

·
Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills

·
Expertise in Mental State examination and Risk assessment as well as talking therapy modalities such as DBT/CBT/ACT etc

·
Ability, skills and knowledge to implement appropriated nursing interventions

·
Ability to work autonomously to manage a caseload, support other team members and respond to routine and crisis situations

·
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
