Allied Health Community Occupational Therapy – North (Te Whare Karaka Street)

Our community Occupational Therapy service has an exciting opportunity available for experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist. You will need to be confident in your skills as an Occupational Therapist and enjoy working within a multi – disciplinary team in the community setting. 

We currently have a position available in our North based Community Occupational Therapy team fixed for 6 months. We would also consider casual options. 

As a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist, you enjoy working with all age ranges and in particular older adults. You are committed to providing excellent service in the community to meet our promise of “best care for everyone” in addition to continuous quality improvement. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills. This position involves the management of a clinical caseload visiting patients in their own homes and delivering services via telehealth, providing rehabilitation, equipment provision, wheelchair and seating provision and/or housing modifications utilising a patient centred approach to your practice. 

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working in a community physical setting. EMS accreditation in wheelchair and seating level one and/ or two and EMS accreditation in complex housing is preferred, in addition to an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with good time management skills.
