We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful Community Work projects.  As a Community Work Supervisor, you will oversee and manage community workers serving community work sentences on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, Marae and churches - whatever the community needs.

With a natural style to work collaboratively and top notch relationship management skills you will be someone who recognises the importance of the work Ara Poutama Aotearoa does and as we enter into a new and exciting era with Hōkai Rangi, bring new ways of thinking to what is already a complex, dynamic and fast paced environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to making a change in our community. We seek a dynamic person able to guide and motivate people in our care to complete their community work hours. You are practical and a handy person with the ability to communicate with individuals and groups.

Please note you will need to complete a criminal history check and undertake a pre-employment drug test.

You must work with high integrity and will demonstrate the Departmental values within your work: Wairua, Whānau, Manaaki, Kaitiaki and Rangatira.

A full NZ drivers licence including the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential.

This position is part-time with a minimum of 27 hours per week. We are seeking someone with availability between a Wednesday and Saturday, typical hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm.

 

Utu ā-tau | Salary

The starting salary is $56,773 per annum pro rata for the part-time hours worked.
