Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People has a unique mandate of having responsibility to steward change across Government, while commissioning disability support services, as well as transforming how these services are delivered.

Disabled people expected to have greater choice and control over the supports and services they receive to lead their best life. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role:

As the Contract Advisor you will be responsible for creating and varying contracts for Whaikaha across our large portfolio of providers.

You will manage a high volume of contracts ensuring these are created and varied in a timely manner and compliant with our legal and policy requirements.

Part of your role will be providing innovative and purposeful support, advice and assistance to staff and others on contracting policies and procedures, including the management of risks and dispute resolution. 

You will establish and maintain sound working relationships with key contacts at relevant government departments and agencies, the disability community, non-government organisations, interest groups and other key stakeholders.

 

Ko wai koe | About You: 

You will have experience using multiple systems such as contract management, payment and compliance systems.  Experience managing contracts within a regulatory environment would be an advantage but not essential. 

Your strong communication and relationship management skills will ensure you are comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, suppliers, providers and managers. 

You will enjoy working in a process focused environment where you work in a well-planned and organised way to accommodate tight deadlines.

You will have strong Microsoft Office skills specifically in Word and Excel.  

To undertake this role successfully, you will be a disabled person or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.

Salary range: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00

We are anticipating placing this role up to $84,398. A salary offer will be based on the relevant skills and experience the preferred candidate brings to the role.
