Our client is looking for a Contracts /Operations Manager to be based in their Upper Hutt office.

Responsibilities will encompass negotiating and ensuring the fulfilment of all contract elements, nurturing client and subcontractor relationships, and driving the scoping, pricing, and efficient delivery of civil earthworks projects.
Key focus of the role:
Contract Management - Monitoring contract performance. Review the ongoing works and plan new works. Manage Subcontractors.
Financial Management - Prepare and provide accurate monthly claims to clients. Quote works. Manage expenditure. Review and approve subcontractor claims.
Operational supervision - Proactively manage field staff. Performance improvement. Understand all re works. Ensure there are sufficient materials available to keep plants operational.
The successful applicant will have the following skills, and attributes:
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with proven success, developing a strong safety culture
- Civil engineering qualification or specific industry-based qualification
- 10 years plus experience within the Civil Infrastructure sector
- NZS 3910 contracts expertise
- Pricing/ Estimating knowledge
- Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance
- Proven experience in networking and developing long term sustainable client relationships
- Excellent track record of consistently delivering on time, meeting quality, safety, budget and client expectations
- You will be in New Zealand, with experience working in New Zealand!
