About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time position as a Credit Controller/Accounts Receivable where you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role and be an integral part of a newly created Finance Team. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining strong client relationships, minimising financial risk, and contributing to the overall financial health ofthe organisation.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the end-to-end credit control process, including credit assessment, credit limit setting, and collections.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments in a timely manner.
  • Review credit applications and conduct credit checks on new customers.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer queries and disputes.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers experiencing financial difficulties.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication and transactions with customers.
  • Prepare regular reports on credit control activities and outstanding debts for management review.
  • Accounts Receivable:
  • Invoicing: Generating and sending invoices to customers
  • Billing: Ensuring accurate billing processes are in place.
  • Recording Transactions: Recording transactions in the accounting software.
  • Customer Relations: Maintaining positive relationships with customers by addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and providing assistance with payment-related issues.
  • Payment Processing and reconciliation
  • Collections and reporting

About you:

  • Proven experience working as a Credit Controller/Accounts Receivable
  • Strong understanding of credit management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing credit control.
