Te tūranga - The role
As a Data Engineer you will work to develop, support and maintain the Bank's data-based solutions. This is an opportunity where you will be able to shape our vision and impact the future of the way we work. Modern DevOps practices are a big part of this role where you will be releasing and deploying data pipelines. ELT, Source Code Management, and data pipelining are key parts of this role as well as data warehousing.

Ō pūkenga - About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience using, developing and supporting cloud-based database and data warehousing solutions (preferably Azure)
  • Extensive experience with data pipelines and ETL
  • Experience transforming data with a programming language such as Python, NodeJS, or C#
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate technical detail and tailor communication to the audience
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in database design, modelling, processes and standards
