Te tūnga | The role

We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Data Warehouse Modeller to join our Data & Analytics group. Reporting to our Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for creating efficient and scalable data models that support the organisation's data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.

In this role, you'll be involved in:

  • Documenting, reviewing, updating, confirming, and gathering user requirements by engaging with relevant stakeholders for all Business Intelligence related reporting and analytics requests.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, including architects, business analysts, and data engineers, to translate these requirements into robust and well-structured data models that enable effective data storage, retrieval, and analysis for ESR to maximise the value of our data.
  • Designing logical, dimensional, and physical data models using industry good practice.
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution from an information delivery and consumption perspective, including all systems up-and downstream that impacts the BI environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Communication Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in data warehousing fundamentals and methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL.
  • Previous experience in dimensional data modelling and data transformation, such as Kimball.
  • Familiarity with the data warehouse life cycle.
