Our client is a household name introduced to New Zealand in 1997 with over 45 stores nationwide plus offsite warehouses, commercial offices and an Auckland support office. A diverse team that is made up of over 2000 individuals who each bring a uniquely dynamic expertise to the workforce, our client continues to grow throughout New Zealand with new stores opening each year
We are looking for the next superstar with a full class 1 license to help with the delivering product throughout the Wellington region, with the help of a storeman or two
Some key tasks will include:
- Load and Unload trucks, drive the shuttle truck and when practical, this will predominantly be your role, however other tasks may be required if there are no deliveries, which will include but not limited to:
- Perform all receiving, storage, delivery and paperwork procedures in a timely manner and assist with stock movements.
- Provide a high level of service to customers, including promptly serving customers picking up goods from the Warehouse and answering phone.
- Assist with stock movements
- Ensure safe work practices whilst undertaking heavy lifting, operating machinery and vehicles, and working at heights. Ensure you are health and safety conscious at all times and compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
Some attributes we are looking for include:
- Must have a full drivers license
- Physically able to assist with manual handling
- Basic computer skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Practical understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and procedures, including manual handling and ability to follow instructions and processes
- Does not have to have any experience in this field as full training provided
This role is a temporary role for two weeks in the Lower Hutt, Wellington warehouse, however for the right person they will look at taking you on as a full time employee with many more benefits - Starting rate is $24 p/hr or as negotiated depending on experience
