About the role:
If you’re ready to lead, innovate, and collaborate on cutting-edge projects then keep reading. This role will be accountable for enhancing digital solutions in advisory, design, asset information management, drafting and 3D modelling. This permanent full-time opportunity will be based in Wellington and as the Digital Lead, the role will also be responsible for implementing and standardising good practice digital solutions internally. These solutions will deliver advancements in quality, speed and workflow, including field-to-model capture and conversion.
Working closely with Service Leaders and Project Leaders across the company to support engineering projects as well as lead and support the development of CAD technicians, modellers and designers.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in CAD design, with a deep understanding of New Zealand design codes and practices. You will be able to show this through your 8+ years of CAD design experience in infrastructure, land development and/or water resources.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12D / Civil 3D, and ideally, experience with Revit.
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor CAD technicians and engineers, teaching them the value of quality-driven design.
- Stay ahead of the curve with the most up-to-date CAD and BIM technologies.
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
