Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position) 

The Duty Nurse Manager team is responsible for the after-hours coordination of the Wairau Hospital site at an operational level with delegated authority of the Service Manager. The role works in close collaboration with Duty Nurse Manager colleagues across the district at the Nelson Hospital site to maintain patient, staff and site safety. 

The role has an emphasis on leadership of staff, patient safety and management of resources requiring you to be flexible and adaptable to meet changing service needs.

This is a permanent 0.8FTE position, working an average of 64 hours a fortnight, predominantly on afternoon, night and weekend (12 hour) shifts.

You will be an enthusiastic and visionary Senior Registered Nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. You will have a minimum of five years recent post registration experience and with Proficient/Expert on PDRP, or working towards Proficient/Expert.
