Our customer is a start-up located in the mighty Waikato region with ambitious expectations of growth during the following years. Their mission is to create healthier and more comfortable indoor environments for learning, working, and living by using the power IoT, Machine Learning, Artifical Intelligence and big data.They provide indoor environmental monitoring as a service, using low power wireless sensors in order to measure health and comfort. The data is used to inform the customers about optimal maintenance and provide feedback to space occupants using a home-made analytics platform.

Our customer is looking for an embedded systems engineer with the capability to work along the full product development cycle. the right candidate will have solid experience in hardware design – Analogue & Digital, so strong Altium or equivalent PCB design software skills are expected. On the other hand, the right candidate will be responsible for the development of embedded software using C language. Along with firmware development, the daily tasks may include developing hardware and software test procedures, code verification and validation activities, identifying potential production issues and participate in hardware design reviews.

Skills and experience

– You must have a tertiary degree in Electronics Engineering or Software (or equivalent)

– At least 5 years experience in Hardware electronics design – Analogue & Digital.

– Solid experience with Altium or equivalent PCB design software.

– Experience in the product development cycle.

– Proficient in embedded C programming.

– Desired experience in programming for both bare metal and RTOS applications.

– Strong written and verbal communication skills.

– Sense of ownership, strong troubleshooting skills, and creative problem-solving ability.
