  • Stunning, central district with great lifestyle options.
  • A district poised for growth and development.
    • Lead Council’s largest portfolio

South Waikato is a stunning district with fantastic lifestyle options. Its central location offers proximity to ski slopes and the coast and is a drive away from urban centres including Taupo, Rotorua and Hamilton. It offers abundant Waikato River trails, with the national mountain bike park at Tokoroa, along with vibrant arts and culture, sports and events facilities, and excellent schools and health services.

South Waikato District Council is seeking to appoint an Executive Manager to head Council’s largest portfolio – Delivery. Reporting to the CE, the EM will oversee the likes of Community Services, Parks and Reserves, Water, Roading, Compliance, Economic Development, Licensing and Consenting. The planning and strategy for the organisation has recently been set, so the CE is keen to get traction on the delivery of services and projects. This is a Council that is not risk averse and has set goals that will genuinely move the dial on some social indices.

To be considered for this position, you must have proven experience of operating at a senior leadership level and be a capable people leader. You will be strategic-thinking but have a strong focus on operations, service delivery and project management.
